Alice's thoughts and opinions on Life Is Strange 1-5

If you've read the title of this discussion then you know what you're getting into. There will be spoilers and please no fanboy rage. Now, it has been a while since the release of the season finale and buzz of the game have finally died down, I think it's the perfect time to talk about my thoughts and opinons of Life Is Strange. The best way to do this I think is to go over each episode Talk about the story, characters, important details from each episode, and my own opinions on each episode. Then I will give an overall thoughts of the series as a whole. Now then let's begin with...

Episode 1: Chrysalis, the episode begins near a lighthouse in the middle of a huge storm. Off in the distance is a huge, larger than life tornado threatening the small town as it inches closer. After we wake up from that nightmare, we wake up to an even worse nightmare...a highschool classroom. After listening to your teacher scold and lecture you, you head to the bathroom to photograph a picture of a butterfly like any teenage girl would. Until a teenage boy walks into the girl's bathroom and talks to himself like any teenage boy would. It is then we get the first glimpse of everyone's blue haired waifu of the year. But we'll get to that soon. Anyway, the two talk about drugs and money until the rich white kid pulls out a gun and shoots blue hair. It is then where Max (main character) finds out she can control time. She's pulled back in time where she sat in her classroom. After testing out her powers she heads to the bathroom to save blue hair. After this, you find out blue hair is actually Max's best friend Chole. After a while the game devolps the relationship between Max and Chole until the ending. Max is back watching a natural disaster happening again. Thanks to a newspaper we find out the tornado arrives on Friday. The episode finally closes with Max telling Chole about her time powers. This episode honestly got me interested into this series. The time travel aspect was enough for me, being able to instantly undo and redo any decisions was truly unique. Even if most of your choices weren't very different from eachother. Most of your decisions at first are roughly "I dont know" or "I did know". Most of the choices however were of the same calibur. There are some that are different but they don't change or matter in the long run. This is also the episode we get introduce to Chole (who everyone loves for some reason) the punk girl. Chole is just the typical teenage punk girl, just like Max is the typical awkward artsy teenager. Nothing much to comment on this episode so let's move to the next.

Episode 2: Out of Time, Despite the title this episode isn't as exciting as you think. The episode starts with another one of Max's friends Kate, is bullied. What's the reason Kate is being bullied? Well apparently, Kate thought it was a good idea to attend the "Vortex Club" party. A party where all the rich popular kids go to and do some shady things. Kate decided to attend this club and was drugged, was in heat making out with anything with a mouth and was taken to a "bright room". So yea...poor Kate...boo hoo. Anyway, most of the episode is just Max and Chole spending time together and messing with her time powers. It isn't until near the end of the episode where things grow grim. Kate is on top of the school roof about to jump until Max pulls a Sakuya and stops time long enough to make it to the roof. It is here where the game pulls a cheap trick to rise tension. When you're on the roof with Kate your powers no longer works. How? Why? Never explained. But I will say this is probably the one of the stronger points in Life Is Strange. In order to save Kate you have to pay attention to what she said in past conversations and look around her room for info that will help you (like Kate's sister and father). It forces you to use your wit and memory to save a life unlike a quick time event. Anyway, after you save Kate or she backflipped off the roof your powes come back just in case you want to undo or redo another unimportant choice (which is to blame someone for not helping Kate.) before the end of the episode. I would say this was the weakest episode in the Life Is Strange series...I mean sure we had some character development with Max and Chole and the scenes with Kate but that's really it. There wasn't even talk of a disaster anywhere in this episode, that is if you can count the elicspe at the end.

Episode 3: Chaos Theory, begins with Chole and Max breaking into school to look for info on Rachael Amber. What's that? Who's Rachael Amber? Well, it's the girl on all those missing persons posters. Huh? Why are we suddenly looking for her instead of stopping the entire town being destroyed by mother nature? Wish I could give you an answer...Anyway, let's skip ahead a bit to Chole finding out Rachael (her possible girlfriend?) was hanging out with Frank the drug dealer and danced in her underwear in his van. After Chole has her bitch fit she drops Max back at school where Max finds a new power. After focusing on a photo Max is in, she can travel to that point in time. You do this to save Chole's father who died in a car accident which you only find out in this episode. After saving Chole's pop the timeline changes where Chole is in a wheelchair and that's the end of the episode. Now, you might be thinking this is a short episode. Well far from it actually. I just didn't bring up the times Max and Chole are spending time having fun and about Chole's family drama. Why? Well, Max and Chole swimming in the pool is a sweet scene I guess but leaves little impact. It just feels like something that was supposed to be in episode 2 but was added here instead. We're halfway through this series and I feel like we learned nothing new from the first episode. And Chole's family is just...completely uninteresting. I think it's needless to say this is where I was losing interest in Life Is Strange and realized the writers had no idea what kind of story they want to tell. Also, tornado? Anyone? Going to kill everyone at the end of the week...no?

Episode 4: Dark Room, starts where the last episode left off. In an altered timeline where Chole is paraylized from the neck down. However, I'm going to skip this entire scene. You know where? Because anyone with a brain can figure out where this will go. Max will find that same picture from episode 3 and let Chole's papa die. Not until the game designers try to tug at your heart strings with a really stupid "choice". Before you're able to turn back time, Chole says she's in a lot of pain and wishes to die. So you have two choices (actually three but the third choice is "I dont know" which does nothing." kill Chole or not. Now, you might be asking yourself reader, "Does this choice really matter? You're turning back time anyway." well allow me to answer that. Yes, this choice doesn't hit you as hard as it should. It's actually one of Life Is Strange's biggest flaws. None of the decisions you make has any weight to the especially if you can just turn back time and everything is better. Sure it's a cool tool to play around with but scenes lose tension when there's supposed to be and it makes me not care what's happening to any of these characters. Anyway, you find more clues, find the "dark room" where Kate and Rachael were taken to after drugged, and find out it was a studio to take pictures of helpless drugged girls. Inside the dark room is a picture of Rachael where for some reason Chole thinks she's buried. And it turns out she was buried in that one spot...lucky guess? After finding out the truth of Rachael Amber and NOT your powers and all the super natural things that have been happening throughout the series (There's two moons in the next fucking scene and the game expects you to ignore it to catch Rachael's killers...") after trying to track down Nathan (the rich kid who drugs girls and shot Chole) in the Vortax Club party. Max gets a text from him basically saying "come to the junkyard or I'll burn Rachael's body" like idiots the two go in, Max gets drugged, Chole gets shot, and it's revealed your photograhpy teacher was behind it all aloung...This episode...was a mess. Yes, we finally got answers regarding Rachael Amber (though I never cared much to begin with...) but what about the two moons? What about the town being destroyed the next day? What does all this have to do with time travel?

Finally the final Episode...Episode 5: Polarized. Now finally after all of you're hard work trying to discover the truth. You're in the villians lair and he's about to give you his motivations and reasons why he drugged Kate and killed Rachael. Are you ready for some disappointment? Alright, from what I can gather Jefferson (the teacher) drugs and kidnaps girls to bring to his dark room to capture the moment where purity and innocence is corrupted. Once he's done he kills them. Why was Kate the only one spared? Never explained. Why was Nathan so closely tied to Jefferson and the dark room? Because of "destiny" (That's actually how it's explained). After learning all that, the rest of the game is Max trying to stop Jefferson and save Chole and probably find a way to stop the giant tornado outside too...Max keeps going back and rewriting until the game dissolves into a series of fever dreams. These sections force you to solve puzzles, sneak past hellish versions of people you've met before, and collect bottles. After all is said and done, you've reached the end of the game where you'll make the biggest decision of the entire game. Saving Chole but letting the rest of the twon die or killing Chole and saving everyone else. That's right, the tornado was caused because you saved Chole from the very first episode. Now, there are a few things to point out here. Like the scene where you talk to Jefferson, outside of the dark room you can hear the storm raging. Keep in mind, Jefferson shot Chole before you were taken to the dark room. So why was there a strom at all? Also, Max said the storm was caused from Max repeatedly going back in time to fix it. So by that logic Max needs to die right? Well, no because ever since saving Chole the world has tried to kill her at everyturn so because the writers say so...you have to kill Chole or everyone does. This makes no sense with the logic we were presented a few moments ago. All evidence points to Max being the bringer of the storm but since everyone loved Chole's character so much they decided to have this black and white choice at the end. So what are the two endings? Well, not killing Chole DOES destroy the town and kill everyone else. But Max and Chole ride off into the sunset with a smile on their face. What happens if you kill Chole? Well, you go back to where she was shot in the bathroom and let her get shot. This alters the timeline where Nathan and for some reason Jefferson get arrested. Kate doesn't get bullied for some reason and the storm doesn't appear (if though it still showed up even after Jefferson shot Chole) and the game ends with Max looking at a butterfly and smiling. I believe I dont need to say how much of this episode makes sense. I know I didn't go into much detail about the "fever dreams" segment but believe me that's all they were. Fever dreams.

Overall, this series had no direction whatsoever. At first it seems like a fun teen supernatural game but then turns into a murder mystery out of nowhere. I honestly cant remember why we were trying to find Rachael Amber. I can recall the ending scene in Episode 2 with Max and Chole wanting to "get to the bottom of this". But I thought they were referring to the eclipse that was happening right in fucking front of them. There are some things that I left out but honestly the things I left out have no impact on the overall story. Even most side characters dont add ANYTHING to the story. For example, David, Chole's step father and Frank the drug dealer. David keeps files on students he keeps tabs on. He's basically there for puzzles for the player to solve. But that's not his only job...his other job along with the rest of Chole's family bring the drama for this teen drama game. Honestly, you could've not seen him the entire game and nothing major would've changed. Frank, is the drug dealer. You can guess what his character is all about. Angry at the world for taking away his love Rachael Amber, pulls a knife on young girls when he's angry and tells them to pay him back "or else". But he's really a sweet guy...no really. The writers seemed to try to make you feel sorry for Frank, but who in the right mind would feel sorry for a guy that threatens to kill 18 year old girls everytime he sees them? No, I dont care if he's in moaning over Rachael, no sane person acts like this. At the end of the day though, what did I think about Life Is Strange overall? Well honestly it had a srong start but the rest of it just fell apart as the story had no direction and even the writing for the dialouge seemed really bad at most parts. Do yourself a favor and just watch a let's play of the game like the rest of the internet. Only if you're truly interested that is.

That is a really good write up and tells me to avoid this also sounds like for time travel Steins;Gate is the story to go to where those decisions actually make sense well except for a certain D-mail...

Still great write up and very informative, I'll probably give a Let's Play a try for a comparison but definitely sounds like a Do NOT buy.

Fandoms. Every book, movie, game, TV shows, and even certain YouTubers have them. Recently though "fandom" has become somewhat of a dirty word for some reason. What fandoms are to blame? Well, there's three that come to mind. Five Nights at Freddy's, Steven Universe, and the most recent Undertale. Now the question is...what do people have against these communitys? It took some thought but I think I have some ideas.

Let's start with the easy target: Five Nights at Freedy's or FNaF if you prefer. I dont think I need to tell you what FNaF is. After all...every YouTuber and their grandma has played it and sing it praise. But if you've been living under a rock heres a quick run down: Your a night guard, the robots try to kill you the 5 or 7 nights you're there, and you defend yourself by locking your door. With that out of the way let's get down to business. Why do people give this fandom the stink eye? Well, there are a few easy reasons I can think of. Two being, there exists porn of the killer robots...(yep) and it's EVERYWHERE. I dont need to tell you that seeing a sexy version of a killer robot duck is weird and creepy but people began to get tired of seeing every lets player play the game. It wasn't just lets players though...they're channels made for the sole purpose of analogizing and react to trailers and videos of FNaF. With all that expousre, people grew to tire of Freddy and his friends and understandable so...but is all the disdain warrented? In my opinion...yes and no. The internet offers so many different distractions, with one click you could be watching cat videos instead of complaining about another FNaF game. I have no answer with the...porn...thing...my best advice is to not activiely search for Chica's tacos...that's just asking for trouble. It's also an unspoken rule of the internet of: "If it exists, make porn of it." (Rule 34). I guess I should give my opinion on FNaF now huh? Well, I dont like it. The game is way too simple to be sold on steam and the gameplay across all games dont vary enough. I know people really enjoy the story and the mystery and that's fine. It is pretty interesting but after 4 games the fans deserve more answers than questions.

Now the Steven Universe fandom has recently obtained a bad rep. It all happened when a tumblr fan artist drew SU characters a little thinner than their supposed to. This caused certain fans to harrass her, send her death threats, label her as transphobe, create hate blogs, and so on. Eventually the tumblr user attempted to commit suicide because of the daily harrassment. Fortunately, she is doing fine and recovering. No doubt people began to paint the whole SU fandom as a group of terrible people. Even the Steven Universe cast and crew discussed how disgusting their fans actions were. What's worse, the few fans that put the fan artist through the terrible harrassment, they are completely unapologetic. I think it goes without saying that not every SU fan is like this, but the actions of the few have caused a permanet stain of the group's reputation. We just need to keep in mind not to overgeneralize and commend the many for the actions of the few. Now, SU fans I just need to say...I get it. Yes, Steven Universe is a show much more progessive than other TV shows that pretend to be. It features a cast of strong female characters each with their own personailty and even different body types. But just because the show is progessive doesn't mean the fans automaticaly are.

Last but not least, let's like at the game that took over the internet in just a month Undertale. I dont need to explain Undertale since it's recent and most of you have at least seen it by now. After all, as I stated before it got popular really fast. And for good reason, the game is excellent in all departments. But of course with anything popular there's always something people dislike or hate about it. What is it? The only answer I got was the fandom. Why? Well, it took some detective work but I think I know the answer. The fandom has been known for backseat gaming and spoiling the game in comment sections. Now those seem to be very good reasons not to like a certain fandom right? Not exactly. Afterall, the only people complaining about backseat gaming are Let's Players and their sheeple. Backseat gaming isn't exclusive to just Undertale either. Look at any let's play channel that plays any kind of popular game and look at the comments. Tell me how many comments you see telling the person or people playing the game their doing something wrong? My guess it's probably a lot right? As for the spoilers...yea that's pretty crappy but want to know an easy solution? Since the fans are known for spoiling the game turn off comments or just avoid them like the plague. Simple. Sitting and complaining doesn't solve anything, use common sense sometime people. It's a wonder.

The reason I'm writing this isn't to shame people who get easily turned off by the actions of certain fandoms (even if it looks like that...) but to inform people who read this to form their own opinions and not be influenced by other people. That's what makes people interesting is their thoughts or opinions on things they do or dont enjoy. It's how some fandoms are made, not with like minded people but with people willing to accept eachother even if they have different tastes.

"Recently, My Little Sister Is a Little Strange" Now going by that title what do you expect this anime is about? If you guessed a high school girl helps a ghost girl to help her pass on by having her brother fall in love with her. Then your right on the nose. Is the series as uncomfortable as it sounds? ...sometimes. Before we get into this review(?) let's introduce the characters. Let's begin with the main character, Mitsuki Kanzaki the girl with the worst luck. Having to deal with a perverted ghost and a really really REALLY stupid brother. I'd even go as far as to say Mitsuki is probably the most normal person in the series. Her brother however, Yuuya Kanzaki, is just another male anime main character. He's really nice, is extremely dense, has women dropping to his feet, and all around just a bland type of guy. They also live with their invisible housemate, Hiyori Kotobuki, a dead girl who has no memories from the time she was alive other than her feelings for Yuuya. Oh, let's not forget Yuuya's childhood friend who was a tomboy and is now a beauitful woman, not to mention completely original (really isn't almost every harem anime has this type of character )...Yukina Kiritani. Now that we know about the characters let's get to the point which are my thoughts and opinions of this anime.

Let me start by saying I'm not giving my opinion of each and every episode. I'll go over some plot points and then give my opinion of it. Let's begin with the beginning, we start with breakfast with the family. Now, it's important to note Mitsuki and Yuuya are step siblings. They're not blood related in anyway. If that makes the anime better or not...well that's up to you to decide. Their parents talk about their trip out of the country leaving their teenage children behind and living by themselves. Which gives a reason why we never see the parents, which is fine. Skipping ahead a bit to where Mitsuki and Hiyori first meet, which is a small bridge over a road. Early on, you find out that is the spot where Hiyori died. We get no more information other than that. We dont know how she died, but one can assume she was hit by a car. Anyway, Hiyori possess Mitsuki for the first time where for some reason a chasity belt suddenly appears on Mitsuki. The chasity belt has a little heart gauge that apparently fills as Mitsuki and Yuuya fall in love, however throughout the series the gauge seems to fill for different reasons...the most notiable times are when Mitsuki "climaxs" I'm not making this up. You wont be able to see much of the chasity belt anyway as it's censored. In fact a lot of the anime is censored but understandly so. This anime is borderline hentai with some of it's scenes. Now, what happens when the heart gauge is full? Hiyori passes on and goes to Heaven. However, if it doesn't fill then within a certain time Mitsuki will die. Yea, Mitsuki has to satisfy Hiyori by flirting with her step brother or die. And most of the series is fanservice or Mitsuki is a very humiliating situations. There are times where they feel kind of forced. There is this one scene where Mitsuki has to go to the bathroom but Yuuya thinks she's sick so she drags her to the nurses office. Now, Mitsuki could easily tell him that she needs to go but instead we get a scene where Mitsuki pees herself as Yuuya watches. There are numerous scenes like this that can be avoided with common sense...but then we wouldn't get cringe worthy scenes like climaxing because fish are tickling her. When looking at reviews for this series, I noticed a common complaint was the character Hiyori which I understand. Hiyori has a very one track mind which could be annoying for some people. What's on her mind you may ask? Why "big brother Yuuya" of course! At the end of the series that's all we know about her. We know she's in love with Yuuya and she has no memories from when she was alive. We find out nothing about her other than Yuuya and her were possibly friends at some points. She is also very selfish, to the point of letting Mitsuki, the girl who agreed to help her take her place in passing on so she could live with Yuuya. The series also has a problem with not providing it's audience with any answers. As stated before about Hiyori, there's also the character Neko who seems more than meets the eye but we never find out who she truly is. There's also the question of why can Yuuya can sometimes see Hiyori and sometimes cant? After 12 episodes we never find out. The only thing left to talk about is the ending, which the reviews that I have seen also criticized. After Yuuya tells Mitsuki not to wear the chasty belt anymore and gets thrown out of Mitsuki's room that...for some reason fills the heart gauge and Hiyori is able to pass on. They both walk up to the pearly gates hand in hand, when they get to the top they say their goodbyes and Hiyori passes on. Finally, Mitsuki's can live a normal live...that is until Hiyori comes back and tells her they only passed the first floor and need they need to clear the second floor. And so, their adventure continues in season 2 (if and when it gets made). After all is said and done, we learn nothing of Hiyori as stated before or about Yuuya and why he cant seem to remember Yuuya. Though I'm sure the answers we seek are somewhere, afterall, this series came from a manga and has spawned a light novel series and even a live movie adaption.  After all this it must sound like I dont like this anime at all right? Well, it's not the best but it certainly does have it's funny and sweet moments. The moments with Yuuya and Mitsuki could be sweet as Yuuya just wants him and her to get along like a family, even the moments with Hiyori can be heartwarming as well.

In closing thoughts, while I may not recommend Saikin, Imouto no Yousu ga Chotto Okashiinda ga, I will say for what it is...it's alright. I think if the writers focused more on story and character than fanservice they could make something really good, maybe even thought provoking. Which is why I give Saikin, Imouto no Yousu ga Chotto Okashiinda ga...

A friendship between Mitsuki and Hiyori out of 5 - it may not be the best and it's rough around the edges but there's some good in it if you look for it.

I've been wanting to talk about this manga for a while now since I read a few chapters. The manga I'm talking about is called Arachnid. It follows the story of Alice Fuujii, a quiet and timid girl who's mother committed suicide and her father is missing. She stayed with her abusive uncle until one day when he's assassinated by the assassin Kumo. After managing injuring Kumo, Kumo decides to take in Alice and teach her his assassin techniques. Kumo is then ordered to kill Alice by the Organization but refuses. After declaring this, he gives Alice one final test. To kill him. Alice does just that, and the rest of the manga is about Alice fighting and surviving from the Organization's attacks. Why is the title Arachnid? Because Kumo teaches Alice spider like techniques to help her survive against other assassins. The other assassins are also based on other insects as well. Some are obvious, like Scorpion uses needles full of poison or Queen Ant uses her peons to do the fighting for her. While some are actually unique like Dinoponera. In every fight the opponet forces Alice to adapt to the situation they put her in. Funny enough whenever Alice finds a solution it also resembles how some arachnids get out of a dangerous situation. As stated before, Arachnid features a few colorful characters. Some out shining others. I often hear the story for some people is dull. But I wouldn't say it's dull but it's not grand either. The story is basically Alice trying to live her life while the Oragnization's attacks her. What is this Organization that I keep talking about? It's an underground group of assassin's that sells family registries. In order to join it you need to give up your family registry and your name. It is also worth mentioning that there are dark scenes in this manga. Scenes of death and (mostly implied) rape. I know a lot of people who read this manga aren't comfortable with that and that's fine. I for one, like to read something dark sometimes. It's a breath of fresh air after watching and reading so many light hearted anime and manga that have come out recently. Now it is worth noting that Arachnid is finished in Japan but I myself haven't read every chapter yet (waiting for them to be translated). In the end, I say if your fine with the dark tones this manga takes, give it a read. Those are my thoughts about it for now. Good night.

Alice's thoughts and opinions Empty Re: Alice's thoughts and opinions

Post by Alice Margatroid Fri Mar 18, 2016 8:12 pm

We live in an...interesting time to say the least. I mean we live in a world where people can make money playing video games and talking over them, vlogging about their daily lives, and pretending to be a news show but really report minor drama between two people. But for today I'm only going to be talking about the "Let's Players" of youtube. What is a Let's Player? Well as I stated before it's a person who earns money playing games on youtube. I hope you caught the key words there. "earns money". Yes, Let's Plays have been around even before YouTube but it wasn't until people learned you can actually make money off gameplay that it became more common. And hey why not right? You get paid for doing nothing but sitting on your ass playing a game and acting stupid to keep your audience entertained. Now let me be clear, I'm not saying EVERY Let's Player is like this. Some actually do seem like decent people and try to make their channels unique. Hell, some have been trying to branch out and try other things. That being said, I want to talk about the bad Let's Players out there. The ones who are egotistical, greedy, crazy, and just all around a D-bag. That's right! I'll be talking about DSPGaming, RPGMinx, and Keemstar (I know he's not a Let's Player but a lot of his videos are centered around Let's Players and gamers in general)

That being said let's start with the "Queen of Let's Plays" (yes people actually call her that...) RPGMinx or just Minx for short. From the videos I have seen of this youtuber, they usually play online games with other more popular youtubers some Japanese titles and YouTube bait mixed in (Goat Simulater, Five Nights at Freddy's, anything with Simulater in the title) oh and let's not forget  shaming those that give her any type of criticism. That's right, you criticise anything that Minx does then you're scum of the earth that deserves to die. She doesn't like having death threats aimed at her but if they're aimed at someone who doesn't kiss her ass 24/7 then it's A-Ok. Yea, it's obvious what I think of Minx...and if you haven't guessed by now I think she's a stupid cunt who does what she does simply to make money and does NOT give two shits of what her fans think. I thankfully never been a fan of Minx and I never will after the way I've seen her treat people. The way her fans even encourage this behavour is frankly disgusting. The funny thing is...all she's doing is playing games. Yet her fans act like she's rying to cure cancer and people who dislike her are halting progress. It wouldn't surprise me if "Queen of Let's Plays" was something she called herself, her ego is so bloated I can actually believe that to be true. To those new to the concept of Let's Players or curious to see what Minx is all about...dont. Watch Geek Remix instead, those two are far more entertaining than Minx could ever be. At least those two actually make conversation and jokes through their videos unlike the Queen of Greed who sits in silence while those she plays online with actually try to be entertaining.

Let's move on from the "Queen of Let's Plays" to the "King of Hate" DSP or DarkSydePhil or KOGaming. I'm sure Phil doesn't need an introduction...the man is infamous for his bad gameplay, racisim, sexisim, terrible commentary, ego, greed, and laziness. This man has groups dedicated to pointing out all his wrong doings and fails in all the videos his done. This man is so greedy he has opened a Patreon for his fans to donate money to him. Now, the way Patreon works is fans give him a set amount of money towards a goal, if that goal is reached then let's say...he has to do a dance in front of the camera. Does Phil follow through with these goals? Nope. In fact, most of his projects that were funded by these goals are cancelled and the people who donated don't get their money back...because he is keeping ALL of it. Quite the scum bag isn't he? Just like with Minx he'll deny any critisims he gets, his ego cant accept that he had done something wrong and will ridicule anyone who he deems a troll or a hater. I haven't even gotten into the "jokes" he finds funny...and I know he finds them funny because he laughs at his own jokes all the time. You might be thinking, why is he called "The King of Hate"? Well it's simple, everyone hates him. There is a site accounting other Let's Players commenting on his videos and saying watching him play gave them headaches. (Even RoosterTeeth dislikes this guy...) What's a good alternative to DSP's videos? Any decent YouTuber will do.

Finally, let's get to Keemstar creater of the news show "Drama Alert". What kind of news does this man report? Oh only the most serious of news! Like some random dude claiming he has a sex tape of a female YouTuber. Yea, this is the kind of stupid crap that man reports. He even gets two people together in a Skype call to argue with eachother while he sits there eating popcorn...fucking amazing. I dare even say Keemstar is the worst YouTuber of the three I've talked about. Not because of his stupid DramaAlert show, but because he is just a terrible person in general. There are videos of him spewwing racists remarks, telling people to go kill themselves and just going nuts. The sad thing is this man has over one million subs...and making a lot of money. THIS is the kind of man YouTube and his fans are supporting. This psychopath.

To those of you reading this, PLEASE don't give these people a view. They don't deserve it and if you do just happen upon one of their videos, be sure to turn adblock on. Only turn it off for people who deserve it. Like NicoB, Cryaotic, Dorkly, JonTron, Team FourStar, and other more respectable YouTubers. Let them know they aren't above consequence, they are not above critisim, they are not above people. Show them they are not the King and Queen they make themselves out to be. Show them by not giving them what they want the most: your view.

Alice's thoughts and opinions Empty Re: Alice's thoughts and opinions

Wow, it's almost been an entire year since I have written anything in this forum post of mine. Well I luckily have some thing I wish to talk about. The topic for tonight/morning is Role Playing websites. Now I am aware there are quite a lot of role playing sites out there but the two I wish to discuss about are AniRoleplay and RoleplayersGuild.

Let us start with the young site RoleplayersGuild, RPG for short. RPG is a site that is almost a year old now and it makes it unique is the fact it's a site that allows you to create multiple characters under one account. Most RP sites only allow one character per account so people who like role playing as lots of different characters will feel right at home here. In it's early days it also allowed mature or 18+ pictures for your characters profile, although that feature was removed some time ago. It is also a site that allows erotic role plays...which makes a lot of role players happy considering there are tons of ero accounts on RPG. Not that there's anything wrong with allowing erotic on the site, it just shows they welcome all kinds of different writing. However, RPG has it's interesting set of problems. Now as I have stated before, RPG USED to allow mature or X rated images for your gallery. They don't allow that anymore and if someone were to use something that may be too indecent the mods may either A) Delete the image and send a PM your way telling you the picture was just too much or B) Lock your account so your character does not appear online and can not receive any PMs until it is fixed. That is all well and good however what is allowed and what's not allowed is inconsistent. For example, a friend of mine wanted to roleplay as the Konosuba character Aqua. This was the image that they used:

When someone saw this image her character profile for Aqua was locked and couldn't be used until she deleted the image. It should be known as well that the message did not explain what was wrong with said photo. You could argue that Aqua's clothes were a little too see through. But let's see what image is allowed on the site...

Yea...suddenly Aqua's kind of see through clothes doesn't look so indecent does it? Now you could argue that you dont actually see any naughty bits but why is this allowed and not the Aqua image. By the way, the picture above is being used as a display image, meaning it's often the first thing you see before looking at the profile. I'm not saying they should crack down harder on images with nudity in it, but there needs to be some sort of consistency. You cant delete something that's somewhat sexually suggestive but keep a completely sexually suggestive one.It just makes it seem some members are more favored than others...which leads me to the next issue with this site. A lot of members of RPG have said that mods like to play favorites, now with a claim like that it is somewhat hard to prove. From my understanding some members even felt ignored when in a chatroom with a mod but as I have said before I have no proof of that. RPG is a neat little site still in the developing stages and I want it to work out I just hope they sort out the mod issue and fix their rules a bit to make it more fair. If you're a fan of role playing, go ahead and give it a shot.

Now let's talk about AniRoleplay. it's a roleplay site dedicated for people who want to roleplay as their favorite anime (or video game) character. Unlike RPg, Ani  is a lot more strict when it comes to image uploading...in fact they're a little TOO strict. When you sign up there is a list of images that are not allowed. They dont allow nudity which is fair enough, not a lot of sites do. Gore, fair again. Bikini or swimsuits...that's a bit excessive dont you think? Now even though those are the ones listed, if you upload an image of a character completely clothed but shows a little too much cleavage Ani will either delete that picture and send you a warning or disable your account. That's right, you upload an image Ani doesn't like, you run the risk of losing your account. Also, Ani doesn't have multiple character on one account. One account, one character. So if you want to roleplay as someone else, you better create a new email. People have found a way around this however by making multiple character roleplay accounts however. Besides the images Ani doesn't allow erotic stories either. So, if someone reports you for doing ero stories you can say bye bye to your account. Besides the strict rules Ani has, is it a place worth joining? Well, if you dont mind the strict rules I say it is. The layout is an exact copy of old MySpace where many roleplayers (like myself) started. There are also over 30,000 members on the site so you're bound to find someone to role play with.

I know there's plenty of other roleplaying sites out there besides these too and I may come back and write about them once I tried them out. But I wanted to talk about these two specifically because as of right now they're the most popular ones at the moment. I do hope both sites make some improvements in the near  future because I do enjoy roleplaying on both. But anyway it's 4 in the morning and I'm about to pass out so...night!
