Wii U sales have climbed with the reveal of Xbox One earlier this week.

Sales of the Premium console have increased by 386% on Amazon, according to Nintendo Life.

The system has jumped from 243rd to 50th place in Amazon's best-selling listings at the time of writing.

Amazon and Asda recently dropped the price of the basic Wii U model to £149.

It was the second time Amazon had reduced the price of the Wii U, following an earlier price cut in March.

Wii U life-to-date sales currently stand at 3.45 million, down on Nintendo's revised forecast of 4m and its original target of 5.5m.

Nintendo is planning a pre-E3 conference on June 11, which will show new 3D Mario, Mario Kart and Smash Bros games.
